Modern Player is an empty player
It supplies no channels, no films, no series and no other content of any kind. Everything you watch comes from a playlist you provide yourself, from a service you have arranged separately.
1. Agreement
By downloading, activating or using Modern Player ("the app") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.
2. What the app is
The app is a media player. It reads playlists in standard formats — Xtream Codes API, M3U and M3U8, single stream addresses, and local video files — that you enter yourself, and plays the video those playlists point to.
We are not a television service. We are not a content provider, broadcaster, aggregator or reseller. We have no affiliation with any playlist provider whatsoever, and we do not endorse, verify, recommend or sell any.
3. Your responsibility for content
You alone are responsible for the playlists you add and for everything you access through them. By using the app you confirm that:
- you have the legal right to access every stream you connect to;
- your use complies with the laws of the country you are in;
- you will not use the app to access, copy, record or redistribute material you are not entitled to.
We have no ability to see, control, filter or block what any playlist contains, and we accept no responsibility for it. We do not endorse the streaming of copyright-protected material without the permission of the rights holder.
4. Features depend on your provider
The programme guide, catch-up, series information, subtitle tracks and recording availability all come from your provider's data. If your provider does not supply them, or supplies them incorrectly, the app cannot create them. Problems of that kind are between you and your provider.
5. Purchases on phones and tablets
On iPhone and iPad the app offers optional paid plans, processed entirely by Apple through the App Store:
- Pro — auto-renewing, billed every six months
- Max — auto-renewing, billed yearly
- Premium — a single payment, no renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel at any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Any free trial ends when a paid subscription begins, and the unused part of it is forfeited.
6. Television licences
Licences bought on this website unlock the app on one device. They are a single payment with no renewal, and they cover that device for as long as it works and the app is supported.
A licence is not transferable between people. If your device fails, write to us before buying again and we will move the licence to a replacement where it is reasonable to do so.
7. Refunds
For purchases made through Apple, refunds are granted by Apple under Apple's policy, not by us: requests go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
For television licences bought on this site, write to us within 14 days if the app does not work on your device and we cannot make it work. We do not refund because a playlist provider stopped working, changed its servers, or turned out not to offer what you expected — a paid plan unlocks features of the player, and never includes, guarantees or relates to any television service.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the app working, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Playback depends on your provider's servers, your internet connection and your device, none of which are under our control.
9. Intellectual property
The app, its name, its logo, its design and its source code belong to Modern Player. You may not copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app or any part of it.
10. Limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app, from any playlist you connect to it, or from any content you access through it. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have that cannot be limited by law.
11. Ending your use
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may withdraw the app or discontinue features, in which case any active subscription is handled under the rules of the store that sold it.
12. Changes
These terms may be updated. The version published on this page, with the date at the top, is always the one that applies.
